Over the past 39 years, one of the greatest contributions to the success of Saturn Freight Systems has come from our relationships with professional owne/operators. Saturn Freight Systems has attracted and retained some great owner/operators for many years.
How you might ask? We know how they need to be treated, because the owners of Saturn Freight Systems were once owner/operators themselves. Even today, all the owners and most of the middle managers still hold and use their CDLs.
We've maintained these relationships by giving owner/operators the best possible lease program, and by treating them fairly in all aspects of the business. Even though we have company-owned equipment, our dispatch runs on a first-in/first-out basis. We never have loaded around an owner/operator, and treat each owner/operator as though they were one of are own company trucks.
We do not operate a forced dispatch system, so the owner/operator get as much freedom as expected because they are in business for themselves. We have always worked to help our owner/operators achieve and maintain a successful business. And why not... if you're successful, we're successful!

Since 1980, Saturn Freight Systems, Inc has been operating refrigerated equipment from the Chicagoland area to 48 states and back to the Chicago area. Over the last 39 years, we have always strived to maintain the highest level of service for our customers and provide top-of-the-line equipment. Competitive Pay
Solo drivers start at .40 per mile and can earn up to .48 per mile on short hauls.

Our Story
Saturn Freight Systems was founded in 1980 by three long-time friends that were all working for different companies. Frustrated with the companies they each were working for, but enjoying the overall transportation business, they sat down and pooled their experience and knowledge. They agreed to work towards the goal of providing the highest quality of service to customers using the best and safest equipment available and participate in personal selection of professional drivers and support staff.
For the past 39 years Saturn Freight Systems has continued to grow and has been able to surpass their original goal. This has all been accomplished by focusing on their original mission:

Saturn Freight Systems started out in a 500 square foot office with 3 employees, and today operates a warehousing facility with over 60,000 square feet, and has over forty employees.
We have been successful over the course of our expansion due to our superior customer service at every level of the business. We have never cut corners and have always given that personal touch that every customer deserves.
